After earning her law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Katie joined Tjornehoj & Hack LLC in 2017. Katie is a licensed attorney in both Colorado and New Mexico, and her practice focuses on estate planning and mineral title examination.
Before completing her Juris Doctorate, she graduated with honors from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Katie’s interest in oil and gas was ignited during law school, where she was trained in oil and gas title examination through an internship with Chesapeake Energy Corporation. She actively participated in the Energy Resources Law Student Association and took the wide array of energy law classes offered by the University of Oklahoma. Katie also enjoys working as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), where she dedicates spare time to volunteering as a guardian ad litem.
When she’s not in the office, Katie enjoys Colorado’s beautiful hiking trails with her husband and two dogs. During football season, she will always root for the Oklahoma State Cowboys (go pokes!) over the Sooners.
